Wow, May is here and I do believe the flowers outside are starting to bloom. This month we have a lot of fun things planned like Mother's Day crafts, Zoo field trip, and our very first picnic lunch at the base lake on Andrews AFB.
Our theme this month is butterflies. We watch five caterpillars change into beautiful butterflies. How cool is that!

1/28/10 Our field trip to Petsmart was awesome!!! Many thanks to Ms. Kelly for helping out on our field trip. We saw fish, birds, hamsters, hairless rats, cats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and a few other animals too. The kids got to pet the animals and feel how different each one felt.
We didn't buy a pet today, but a class pet would be a nice addition. Btw the chinchilla was our favorite pet.

Parent's Night Out will be held on Saturday, October 24 from 6pm until 11pm. If you would like for your child to participate please let me know in advance. Dinner, dessert, and of course a fun-filled night is all included. Be sure to bring pj's, favorite book, and their special lovey toy that they sleep with.

We had an awesome time at the zoo on Friday. The day started off a bit wet, but it did not rain on our parade. The children were excited to see lions, tigers, bears, HUGE fish, eagles, and much more.
A big thank you goes to Mrs. Angie, Adrianna's mom, for volunteering.

This week we will start family style dining at meal times.
The children will learn and practice many social skills, such as taking turns, passing food to others, saying and signing please and thank you, and helping to set the table.
This will be an exciting week for us all!!!
